For a change of pace instead of writing a blog based on a word, this blog post will focus on the year 1979.

I was 19 in '79 and was enjoying life. I was crazy into music - so the bul of this blog post will revolve around music.

I'd get together with a small group of friends and drive to L.A. and do some record shopping. L.A. had the best used records store and I usually always found some great deals.

One of my best deals was buying a box full of 45's (must have been about 200 in the box) for just $5.00. I ended up discovering a few great bands that I would not have discovered had I not purchased that box.

I watched the movie Kramer vs. Kramer with some friends. it was not my movie choice. I went into the movie with a negative attitude about it. I was certain I wouldn't care for the movie. I was wrong. I ended up liking the movie quite a bit and considered it a favorite for a very long time.

It was a work of art which contained a word of positivity which won brought John Lennon's attention to Yoko Ono. On November 9, 1966 Lennon was at a preview of Ono's art exhibit at the Indica Gallery in London. One of Ono's pieces called "Ceiling Painting" required that Lennon walk up a ladder to see the painting. when he made it up to the top of the ladder he saw the word "Yes" painted on the ceiling. Lennon found this to be such a simple yet powerfully positive message. From that time on he could not get Yoko out of his mind.

Dig

Today's word is a simple everyday word - I like simple everyday words because those can sometimes be the most complex and most diverse words.

Dig, although is really a simple word. You don't really have to dig too deep to understand the various meanings of the word.

Today, I will review the word DIG using dictionary definitions, quotes and a few images.

Tonight I am on limited time so this post will feature the word KNUCKLE in pictures.
